Initial Assessment
£160
An initial assessment helps me understand your communication strengths, needs and any areas where you may benefit from support. We’ll talk about your concerns and I’ll use appropriate assessment activities based on your individual needs.
The assessment can take up to 90 minutes and can take place at home or online. Afterwards, you will receive a written report setting out my findings and recommendations for the next steps.
The report is prepared and signed by me as an HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist and can be shared with schools, nurseries, healthcare professionals or other professionals involved in your or your child’s care, where appropriate.
Face to Face Therapy
£60 per session
In-person therapy is tailored to your individual communication needs and agreed goals. Sessions last up to 40 minutes and can take place at home or, for children and young people, within their school or nursery setting.
Depending on your individual needs and goals, I may recommend a block of sessions, typically six, so that we can work consistently towards agreed goals and review progress together.
Where appropriate, I will also provide practical strategies or activities to support progress between sessions.
Remote teletherapy
£50 per session
Online therapy provides individual speech and language therapy from the comfort of your own home. Sessions last for 30 minutes and can be particularly suitable for older clients who are comfortable working at a computer, as well as those who live outside the Bath area.
Sessions are tailored to your individual communication needs and agreed goals, with practical strategies or activities to support progress between sessions where appropriate.
Depending on your individual needs and goals, I may recommend a block of sessions, typically six, with progress reviewed along the way.
Professional Report
from £200
Some children may require a more detailed assessment and report for an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), funding or benefits application, or another formal process.
These assessments may involve more detailed or standardised assessment, reviewing previous reports and records, liaison with school, family or other professionals, analysis of the findings and a more comprehensive signed professional report.
As the work required will depend on the purpose of the assessment and the information requested, I will discuss this with you beforehand and agree the scope and fee before any work begins.
